Hong Kong, May 12 - APT Satellite Company Limited (APT), a leading regional satellite operator, and TS Global Network Sdn Bhd (TSGN), Malaysia’s premier satellite communications (SATCOM) services and solutions specialist, today jointly announced an investment in a designated payload on a communications satellite scheduled to be launched in the last quarter of 2015. The payload (transponder capacity) on board APT’s APSTAR 9 Satellite Project will also be known as TSGN MySAT-1. The collaboration will launch, TSGN, a privately owned Malaysian company into the league of sat-ellite operators and propel its growth trajectory and ambitions to play a leading regional role in de-livering reliable, high speed and affordable communications to a wide spectrum of government and commercial customers. The award-winning JUPITER System is the leading platform of choice by operators worldwide for high-throughput, Ka-band satellite (HTS) services; TSGN’s offering of services beginning this month makes them the first operator to do so over conventional C-band satellites. Hughes is supplying a JUPITER Gateway and latest generation enterprise-class broadband satellite terminals at over 3000 locations.
